Several mites can be found on dogs. There are three species of mites that can commonly be found on dogs.
These are:
Sarcoptes mites
Demodex mites
Ear mites
Each of these species of mites can affect your dog in different ways. For example, Demodex mites can cause hair loss and may only be detected when you notice that your dog's skin looks different.
